Product Description

CH376 is a file management control chip, used in single-chip microcomputer systems to read and write files on USB flash drives or SD cards.

The CH376 supports both USB device mode and USB host mode. It is equipped with the basic firmware for the USB communication protocol, the firmware for the dedicated communication protocol for handling Mass-Storage massive storage devices, and the firmware for the communication interface of SD cards. Built-in management firmware for FAT16, FAT32 and FAT12 file systems Supports commonly used USB storage devices (including USB flash drives /USB hard disks /USB flash drives /USB card readers) and SD cards (including standard capacity SD cards and high-capacity HC-SD cards, as well as protocol-compatible MMC cards and TF cards).

The CH376 supports three communication interfaces: 8-bit parallel port, SPI interface or asynchronous serial port. Controllers such as single-chip microcomputers, DSPS, MCUS and MPUs can control the CH376 chip through any of the above communication interfaces to access files on a USB flash drive or SD card or communicate with a computer. The USB device mode of CH376 is fully compatible with the CH372 chip, and the USB host mode of CH376 is basically compatible with the CH375 chip.

Single-chip microcomputer communication interface

The CH376S supports three communication interfaces with the single-chip microcomputer: 8-bit parallel interface, SPI synchronous serial interface, and asynchronous serial port. When the chip is powered on and reset, the CH376S will sample the states of the WR#, RD#, PCS#, A0, RXD, and TXD pins. Based on the combination of these configuration pin states, the communication interface is selected. Refer to the table below (in the table, X represents not caring about this bit, 0 represents low level, and 1 represents high level or left idle).

The CH376T supports two communication interfaces with the single-chip microcomputer :SPI synchronous serial interface and asynchronous serial port. When the chip is powered on and reset, the CH376T will sample the status of the SPI# pin. A low SPI# level selects the SPI interface, and a high SPI# level selects the asynchronous serial port.

The interrupt request output at the INT# pin of the CH376 chip is valid at a low level by default. It can be connected to the interrupt input pin or the normal input pin of the single-chip microcomputer. The single-chip microcomputer can obtain the interrupt request of the CH376 through interrupt mode or query mode. To save pins, the single-chip microcomputer can choose not to connect the INT# pin of CH376 and obtain interrupts through other means.
